De Boissy spirit
Our commitments
De Boissy is reinventing itself for you with two powerful commitments:
Being as close as possible to healthcare professionals
Imagined for and with healthcare professionals, De Boissy bags are the best way to meet your needs.
Being as eco-friendly as possible
The Madrague and Etretat ranges were both born of environmentally friendly design.
The fabrics used (for the outside, inside and for patches) are made from recycled materials. They are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified so that De Boissy can guarantee responsible product production.
- The outside fabric is made from 50% post-consumption polyester,
- The inside fabric is made from 100% post-consumption polyester,
- The fabric used for the removable printed pockets is made from 100% post-consumption polyester,
- The “leather” patches and removable pouches are made from 40% post-consumption polyester.
De Boissy takes care of those who take care of others and of the planet.
GRS (Global Recycle Standard) is a voluntary international standard that sets out third party certification standards for recycled content, the inspection sequence, labour and environmental practices and restrictions in terms of chemical make-up.
Our history
Années 60
Since the 1960s, De Boissy, a leather goods maker, makes leather bags and business gifts (desk blotters, cheque book cases, wallets, etc.). At that time, the workshop was in Carmaux, in France’s Tarn region, birthplace of a long tradition of tanning and leather goods.
1982
In 1982, Holtex and De Boissy joined forces to offer medical briefcases. With different sizes and shapes, their quality leather creations were quickly taken up by doctors and nurses. In addition to bags, the brand also offered prescription cases, cases for sphygmomanometers, etc.
Fin années 90
By the end of the 1990s, with the arrival of synthetic fabrics, De Boissy created more lightweight, more affordable and colourful models. The range has expanded over the years with models offering different sizes and carrying options (by hand, over the shoulder, as a backpack, etc.).
2022
But needs and trends change!
Why should health professionals carry an impersonal, old-fashioned bag day after day?
In 2022, De Boissy chose to overturn convention and reinvent itself by creating three new ranges of medical briefcases with three distinct sizes with a stylish, young and dynamic look.
The 3 ranges of De Boissy medical bags
They are inspired by the emblematic shape of the doctor’s leather briefcase, giving them a unique style and ensuring a clear view of the equipment that they contain. Their customisable and interchangeable pouches bring them a touch of fancy!
Equally modular, ingenious and full of smart details like, for example, the many pockets and compartments, an outside space for hydroalcoholic gel, a hook for keys, an outside USB port…
They were imagined and designed in France and wear the smooth sounding names of emblematic French locations:
– Eiffel, stands for the simple, robust and well-known first range,
– Etretat speaks to the grey of the cliffs and the brown to the earth of a natural place like an eco-friendly range,
– Madrague illustrates the pink and red of Mediterranean laurel, like an eco-friendly and colourful range.
